Kids Summer Cooking Camps at Savorra

Ages 8-12

The Savorra Summer Kids Cooking Camp is a hands-on cooking experience designed for children ages 8–12. Through real ingredients, guided activities, and plenty of room for creativity, children explore the kitchen in a way that feels exciting, social, and fun. It’s a place to try new things, build confidence, and make memories — all while learning skills they’ll carry with them beyond the camp.

About Kids Cooking Camp

The Savorra Kids Cooking Camp is a hands-on culinary program designed for children ages 8–12, focused on learning through real cooking. Everything is made from scratch using quality ingredients, and kids are encouraged to understand what they’re cooking rather than simply follow recipes. The program is built to develop confidence, curiosity, and a genuine connection to food.

Safety and structure are at the core of the experience. Children learn clean-as-you-go habits, proper knife handling, and how to work safely around heat, all within a fully supervised environment designed specifically for kids. Activities are age-appropriate and thoughtfully guided, allowing children to work both independently and as part of a team.

The camp will be an in-person day camp held at our kitchen space in Calgary. Each day will follow a familiar, structured rhythm: kids will arrive, get oriented, cook together under guidance, enjoy what they’ve made, and clean up as a team before heading home. Time will also be built in for kids to socialize, collaborate, and take breaks, creating a balanced and engaging day.

Throughout the camp, children will be introduced to major world cuisines and a variety of dishes and techniques. Each day will feature a new menu, giving kids the opportunity to explore different ingredients, flavors, and cooking methods while developing teamwork skills, independence, and positive memories around food.
